Kuusakoski achieves ISO27001 certification

The certification covers Kuusakoski’s reuse and data destruction services in Finland and Sweden.

Kuusakoski Recycling, a leading provider of recycling services in the Northern Europe, is proud to announce that it has obtained ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification in both Finland and Sweden, encompassing our reuse and data destruction services. This globally recognised standard for information security management is the latest version available, first introduced in 2013, and demonstrates our commitment to maintaining the highest level of information security.

"We are very happy to have achieved the ISO27001 certification, which validates our commitment and ability to protect our customers’ data throughout the reuse and destruction process. We already had many things in place before certifying our processes, which facilitated this project nicely. Now everything is arranged according to the ISO management system and we can keep on continuously improving the processes in a structured manner. This accomplishment is another token of hard work and dedication from our team and reinforces our promise to deliver operational excellence and provide high-quality services," says Tapio Kuusakoski, WEEE Business Director.

The certification process involved a comprehensive assessment of Kuusakoski’s information security management system (ISMS) by Bureau Veritas, one of the world’s leading certification bodies. Kuusakoski ISMS for reuse and data destruction services covers the entire end-of-life chain of information. This includes secure transport, material destruction, data erasure, device refurbishment and preparation for reuse.

The ISO27001 certification is part of our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement in our security practices.
