Construction waste will be segregated in Kuusakoski plant for recycling or waste-to-energy. Construction waste that contain more than 30% of non incinerable materials, will be classed as Class II construction waste. Waste that does not meet the criteria, e.g. hazardous waste, will be invoiced separately.

Cardboard is recycled as raw material for new cardboard products. Duct tape, rivets and labels do not need to be removed. Waste that does not meet the criteria, e.g. hazardous waste, will be invoiced separately.

Wood is chipped and used as energy fuel in powerplants. Small metal parts like screws, nails, hinges and door handles do not need to be removed. Waste that does not meet the criteria, e.g. hazardous waste, will be invoiced separately.

Concrete will be crushed and segregated from rebar. Concrete will be used in land construction, rebar as raw material for steel industry. Waste that does not meet the criteria, e.g. hazardous waste, will be invoiced separately.

Electrical equipment will go through multi phased recycling process, beginning on identification and removing of hazardous parts. Most of the materials and parts can be re-used or recycled after segregation.

Impregnated wood will be chipped and incinerated for energy in designated powerplants. Impregnated wood is classed as hazardous waste due to agents used in manufacturing process.

Bio waste will be composted. Some types of biodegradable waste can be used for making bio fuels for automotive use.
